New House Inspections – Practical completion & Builders warranty inspections are to ensure that your new home is to the standard that is expected.
New homes are not always issue free, New house inspections identify issues with your new home, whether is it a building standard requirement, a major structural defect or just poor paint finishes you are entitled to have these issues rectified prior to handover.
Practical completion is the moment when your new house is completed and ready for handover. Unfortunately just because you’re buying or building a newly constructed property, it does not mean it will be issue free. A practical completion inspection can ensure any defects are brought to the attention of your builder. The inspection report is the builder’s final ‘To Do’ list prior to handover. Your building contract will specify the rectification time period
of the defects listed.
In the practical completion inspection we will check that all builders work has been completed and to an acceptable standard. This inspection report will outline all defects that require attention; defects are marked with coloured stickers for easy identification. This inspection is limited to
the works carried out by the builder.
